Police are appealing for the public’s help following a serious smash in Flintshire involving a car and a van-towed horsebox. Emergency services were called to the scene near Treuddyn on Wednesday evening (June 14) to deal with the two-vehicle crash.
It occurred shortly after 6 pm on the A5104 Corwen Road at its junction with Ffordd y Blaenau and Pant y Ffordd. North Wales Police (NWP) said the collision involved a silver Skoda Fabia and an Iveco green horsebox.
The Skoda’s driver was cut free from his vehicle by fire crews and flown by helicopter to the Royal Stoke University Hospital, home to a major trauma centre. Police said his injuries were “serious”.
