Every year we read in the papers about livestock being killed or so badly savaged that they have to be destroyed. which is sad and very, very avoidable and also an expensive loss for the farmer. If owners of dogs think before they even take the pet dog out of the front door.
Going for a walk in the countryside should be an enjoyable walk with your pet pouch, but it can end in valuable livestock being attacked.
When you take your dog to the countryside and you are near farm animals please always make sure that you have the lead on your dog. DO NOT LET IT RUN FREE.
If a farmer has livestock attacked and your dog is running free among the sheep and cattle you may find that your pet pouch “which will not hurt a fly” could end up being shot by the livestock owner.
So, remember when near livestock keep your dog on a lead it could save you a lot of grief.
